Agreement
These Terms of Use govern your access to exactunit.com, operated under the ExactUnit name (“we”, “us”). By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site. These terms are provided in English.
The service
ExactUnit provides free unit converters, explanatory content, educational articles, and a searchable converter directory. No account is required. We may add, change, or remove features, and cannot guarantee continuous or error-free availability.
No professional advice
Our tools and content are for general information and education. They are not medical, financial, tax, legal, engineering, or other professional advice. Independently verify results before using them for important decisions or safety-critical work.
Results depend on your inputs, selected units, rounding, numerical precision, and each tool’s stated assumptions. Currency tools use rates you supply, not live market quotes. Text transformations can lose information. You are responsible for determining whether a tool is suitable for your task.
Eligibility
You must have the legal capacity required to agree to these terms. If you use the service on behalf of an organization, you must be authorized to act for it.
Acceptable use
Do not use the service unlawfully or infringe other people’s rights. Do not attempt unauthorized access, disrupt the site, distribute malware or spam, bypass technical limits, or make automated requests that place an unreasonable load on the service.
Do not misrepresent an affiliation with ExactUnit or imply our endorsement without permission. Restrictions on accessing or examining software do not override rights granted by applicable law.
Intellectual property
The site’s original text, design, branding, and software are protected by applicable intellectual property laws and belong to their respective owners. You may use the service for personal, non-commercial purposes under these terms.
You may not reproduce, modify, or distribute substantial parts of the site without permission, except where allowed by law. These terms do not claim exclusive rights over facts, units, mathematical formulas, or your own inputs and calculation results.

Calculations run in your browser. You are responsible for information you choose to disclose to others. Our Privacy policy explains technical data, optional analytics, browser storage, and your choices.

External links and any third-party advertisements are not endorsements. We do not control third-party content, products, or privacy practices. Transactions or other dealings with those providers are between you and the relevant provider.
Disclaimer of warranties
To the extent permitted by law, the site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available”, without express, implied, or statutory warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that results are accurate, complete, reliable, or appropriate for your circumstances.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ExactUnit’s operators, contributors, and suppliers are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or losses of profits, data, or goodwill arising from use of the service.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for claims relating to the service or these terms is limited to the greater of USD $100 or the amount you paid us to use the service during the twelve months before the claim.
These limitations apply only where lawful. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded or reduces mandatory consumer rights.
Indemnification
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold the site’s operators harmless against third-party claims, losses, and reasonable expenses arising from your unlawful use of the service, breach of these terms, or infringement of another party’s rights. This provision does not override mandatory consumer protections.
Changes
We may update these terms and the service. Revisions will be published here with an updated date. Continued use after the revised terms take effect constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by applicable law.
General
If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply. Failure to enforce a provision does not waive it. These terms form the agreement governing your use of the service.
Applicable law determines the governing law and competent courts. Mandatory consumer protections and jurisdiction rights available in your country remain unaffected.
